Fettle Foundry is a solo project by Thom Milson. I've been a designer for almost fifteen years, and have been releasing fonts independently since 2020.

I'll sometimes work with others when a project requires it, but for the majority of type-based work I handle everything, from ideation and sketches through to production and marketing.

I'm also part of the team at Out of Place, a Bradford-based design studio specialising in branding, wed design, and web development for charities, arts and culture organisations, and third sector organisations.

At the moment I use MyFonts and Fontspring.

I've found that the vast majority of customers purchase through MyFonts rather than other platforms, so this is usually my focus when it comes to marketing.

I've looked into selling typefaces directly but, being based in the United Kingdom, it's not a realistic option at the moment.

We offer trials for all of the typeface that you can find on this website through FontSpring. Alternatively, please feel free to contact me directly to request the specific fonts you would like to try.
